Considering if you overlay the two anime:
- similar opening theme tune
- harem: princess sisters = fairy twins, cat girl = fox girl, dragon = female demon lord, kitsune = ?
- medvial setting with magic and douche people that seems like they just finished recording redo healer and moved onto another film set.

How stereotypical of them here. Lady knights are righteous, kind, chivalrous and faithful. While the male knights are corrupted, degenerate and roguish. But we're not overlooking the lord and his son here being the real xxxxxxxxxx.

I think it is more overconfidence than anything else: judging by the fights, those female knights would normally be too weak and far too outnumbered to put up a real fight, so they were deemed not worth the worry and left to run wild.

However, this time the ladies had 4 Ultimate Species to back them up, with magic and power to single-handedly take on the army, leading the men to fall to their own folly. That said, I do believe that the vice captain did mention that all the honorable men were chased out of the knights long ago.
